HSG Spin-Off Barometer 2019

76 companies, mostly young and all of whose founding HSG alumni participated in, have generated more than CHF 150 million in turnover since 2018 and created more than 3,500 jobs since being established. In the region of St.Gallen, 22 companies bear the University of St.Gallen’s Spin-Off label, as shown by the "HSG Spin-Off Barometer 2019".

Research at the HSG: for academia and society

University research is not merely intended to satisfy international academic requirements but should also have an impact on society. The University of St.Gallen would like to meet both standards. It has therefore made investments in basic research, in the promotion of young academics, but also in start-up consultancy. By 2019, the HSG will additionally establish five new chairs in order to be able to make a contribution towards meeting the challenges of digitisation.

HSG Founder of the Year 2017

On the occasion of the Entrepreneurship Day on Friday, 24 March 2017, Lea von Bidder was nominated HSG Founder of the Year 2017 as the representative of the Ava company. The prize of the Werner Jackstädt Foundation is worth CHF 10,000.
