Public lectures
The University of St.Gallen (HSG) invites the public to 38 public lecture series in the spring semester of 2022, the majority of which will again take place on the HSG campus. This semester, a series of lectures will focus on the local – professors from the University and external lecturers will introduce exciting stories about the city and region of St.Gallen. The programme starts on 21 February 2022.

Registration and urgent mask requirement
The Federal Council has concluded to repeal most Covid 19 measures as of February 17, 2022. There is still an urgent mask recommendation in our rooms. Please note that only persons who do not show any symptoms of illness are allowed to enter the university premises. Hygiene rules must continue to be strictly adhered to.
 
The obligation to register for the public lectures still exists, as the regulations can be adjusted again in case of a corresponding epidemiological situation. Registration and enrolment can be done via: http://hsg.events/oeffentlichesprogramm. There you will find a complete overview of all lectures taking place and you can register for as many as you like. For the online lectures via Zoom, you will automatically receive access to the participation links after registration. If you need assistance, please contact 071 224 33 39. The hotline is available every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 to 11 am.

Semester pass for 20 CHF
A semester pass costs 20 CHF and grants access to all public lectures throughout the semester. The billing slip for the pass can be found in the lecture programme in stock at the HSG. In the lecture programme you can also find the bank details for payment via e-banking.

Inaugural and farewell lectures
New professors of the HSG and private lecturers introduce themselves in a public lecture. Likewise, professors who are retiring give a farewell lecture. You are cordially invited to attend these public inaugural and farewell lectures, as well as HSG members.
Like our public lectures, our inaugural and farewell lectures cover a wide range of topics: from economic and legal issues to aspects of cultural policy.

Similarly to our public lectures, these inaugural and farewell lectures deal with a number of topics: from business and legal issues to cultural and political aspects.

The HSG supports regional series of events, the "Monday Forum of Eastern Switzerland". The "Monday Forum" has 16 lectures a year, in that experts will speak about health, philosophy, history and art in the Pfalzkeller.
